National title and 4 medals for the FFC Hagen | Posted on: 12/08/2014

Five medals, including one gold medal, went to the FFC Hagen at the German youth and senior championships in Bochum. Only local rivals Flying Feet Haspe was even more successful and won a total of six medals, including three gold medals.

In the group of the youngst players C-youth Robin Weber of the FFC Hagen was awarded the silver medal behind winner Felix Weyland from Cronenberger BC. B-youth Arne Twer from FFC Hagen safely secured the title ahead of Jonas Holt from TV Lipperode.

Meanwhile Flying Feet Haspe dominated the A-youth-competition. The title was won by Torben Nass ahead of Philip Kuehne, who could not compete due to knee problems in the final. Kai Sauermann from TV Lipperode finished third. The female B-youth competition saw Franziska Schönfeld from Flying Feet Haspe winning the national crown, while in the female A-Youth group three of their club mates conquered the front three places: Franziska Oberies won ahead of German international Guilia Isabella Pinnau and Lina Marie Kurenbach who could celebrate bronze.

In the seniors competition over 35 years defending champion Michael Streit of Chin Woo Bochum was again not be beaten. The silver medal was claimed by Christian Weustermann from Cronenberger BC ahead Karsten-Thilo Raab from FFC Hagen who finished third.

Streit and his partner also dominated the senior’s doubles, where Uwe Walter and Karsten-Thilo Raab from FFC Hagen became runner’s up. Bronze was secured by Detlev Stegmann from FFC Hagen alongside with his partner Ralf Holt from TV Lipperode.
